Judith I. Pfister, RN, BS, MBA Ms. Pfister holds a BS in nursing and biology from Aurora University in Illinois and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is the co-owner of Pfiedler Enterprises and is responsible for administration and marketing functions. Judy is skilled in script writing and video production as well as developing and implementing continuing education activities. Ms. Pfister has served as an educator and consultant for healthcare professionals and hospitals. Her nursing background is in the area of perioperative nursing, where she filled positions ranging from staff nurse to Assistant Director of Nursing/Operating Rooms. Her previous employment was with the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, provided experience in association management and education of the perioperative nurse. Judy was the co-author of the textbook, “The Nursing Spectrum of Lasers” which focused on laser therapies. She also edited a news letter on lasers. Judy is a member of ANA, AORN, Sigma Theta Tau and holds an Honorary Certificate for Nursing Practice in the Operating Room. Julia A. Kneedler, RN, BS, MS, EdD Dr. Kneedler holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Walla Walla College in College Plaza Washington, a Master of Science Degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California and her Doctorate of Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. Julia is a co-owner of Pfiedler Enterprises, Inc. Her responsibilities include management of the educational program, review of activities, compliance with accreditation and regulatory agency guidelines and maintaining accreditation and approvals. Her previous employment was with the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, where she was responsible for developing and implementing educational activities for World Conference, Congress and other planned events. Prior to this she was the Director of Operating Room at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver, worked at Loma Linda Medical Center, Operating Room and began her career in the operating room at Greater Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. She is co-author of the textbook entitled, "Perioperative Patient Care - The Nursing Perspective" and has authored and co-authored many books and manuals published by AORN. She is a member of ANA, AORN, Sigma Theta Tau and the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME). Among her many achievements is the AORN Award for Excellence received in 1996. Sharon Sky, PhD Ms. Sky earned a doctorate in public health and holistic healing, a master’s degree in health professions education, and was a certified medical technologist and specialist in hematology. Her academic degrees are from the University of Illinois and Michigan State University. At Pfiedler Enterprises, she develops continuing medical and nursing education activities, with a primary focus on live conferences. Sharon also assists the Director of Education in various aspects of accreditation and compliance. Previous experience includes planning continuing education for surveyors at the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and serving as hematology faculty in a Laboratory Sciences baccalaureate program in Chicago. Sharon also worked as a medical technologist and EKG technician at major metropolitan hospitals. Cathy A Devitt, RN, BSN, MBA, CNOR Ms. Devitt has been a perioperative registered nurse for 34 years. She received her BSN from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and her MBA from Regis University, Denver, CO. Cathy’s responsibilities at Pfiedler Enterprises is designing, developing, and implementing continuing education activities for nurses and health care professionals according to accreditation requirements and internal policies and procedures. Her perioperative nursing practice has included both staff and management positions in inpatient and out patent surgery. She worked for four years at AORN in the Center for Nursing Practice as a Perioperative Nursing Specialist. Prior to joining Pfiedler Enterprises, Cathy was Director of Clinical Education for Advanced Sterilization Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson. She has over 12 years of experience in education in business and industry and 16 years in developing and presenting continuing education. She is a member of AORN and has recently completed a course at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in pursuit of nursing application to alternative and preventative healthcare. Carol Wilcox, MT (ASCP), MA Ms. Wilcox holds a BS in Medical Technology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a MA from the University of Colorado at Denver, Department of Education and Adult Learning, in Information and Learning Technologies. Carol’s responsibilities at Pfiedler Enterprises is designing, and developing web-based continuing education activities, including converting live continuing education presentations to a multimedia online format in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal policies and procedures. She has over 20 years experience in creating, developing, and managing adult education programs for healthcare professionals in a variety of media modalities. Prior to joining Pfiedler Enterprises, Carol was a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Compliance Specialist for Amgen in the Department of Training and Development. She has over 10 years experience in designing, developing, and implementing regulatory compliance programs in the bio-pharmaceutical industry and over 10 years experience in managing live and online multimedia continuing education activities for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. She is a member of ASCP and Sigma Theta Tau.
